This city pride is not only the main opera house in Novara, but also the most important 'historic' theatre in the entire region of Piedmont. At the end of the 19th century, the previous building that stood here no longer met the city's needs. So it was demolished to create a new one, dedicated to Carlo Coccia, composer and director of the newly founded Novara music school. The interior of the hall, with excellent acoustics, is horseshoe-shaped with four orders ending with the gallery.
