The very mild climate allows the growth of luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation characterised by citrus fruits, palms and olive trees and favours the early blossoming of the famous camellias which, together with rhododendrons and azaleas, transform the town into a lush flowering balcony overlooking the lake.
